Concert for Change, a leading non-profit organisation committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children, has successfully disbursed ₦55 million in grants to five frontline charities supporting orphans and children living with disabilities across Nigeria. The announcement was made during a ceremony in Lagos following the organisation’s annual Green Worship 8 Benefit Concert, which raises awareness and funds for charitable partners.

The five beneficiary organisations, selected for their proven track record and dedication to child welfare, are:

  • Comrade David Ofoeyeno School for Special Children, Warri
  • Marvelous Foundation Orphans Care Centre, Minna
  • Super Parent Foundation, Lagos
  • Hope Orphanage, Akure
  • Learning Disabilities Society of Nigeria, Uyo

Each organisation received ₦11 million to strengthen critical services, including infrastructure upgrades, acquisition of specialised equipment, therapy services, and educational resources for children under their care.

This year’s total of ₦55 million marks a 49.66% increase from last year’s ₦36.75 million disbursement, reflecting both growing donor support and expanding impact.

Speaking at the event, Wale Adenuga, Managing Trustee of Concert for Change, emphasised that the rise in contributions is more than a financial milestone.
“Every year, we are reminded that compassion is still alive,” he said. “This increase is not just a financial milestone, it is evidence that individuals are willing to give sacrificially to support children who might otherwise be forgotten. Our commitment remains clear: transparency, measurable impact, and meaningful partnership with credible charities.”

The funds were raised through the Green Worship Benefit Concert, an annual initiative that brings individuals, corporate partners, and communities together to generate sustainable support for organisations serving vulnerable populations. Since its inception, formerly known as Worship for Change, Concert for Change has raised over ₦200 million, empowering 49 charities and positively impacting thousands of children nationwide.

The beneficiary organisations expressed heartfelt gratitude, noting that the funding will significantly enhance their capacity to deliver essential services and improve the wellbeing of the children they support.

Concert for Change reiterated its ongoing commitment to easing the burden on charitable organisations, deepening partnerships, and creating lasting impact for underserved children throughout Nigeria.
